The Delaware County Workforce Investment Board, Youth Council and Regional Career Education Partnership (RCEP) and the Foundation of the Delaware County Chamber are proud to sponsor a Leadership Academy for Delaware County high school sophomores. This 2 ½ day event to be held April 19-21 2010, is designed to bring together area 10th graders with local business, government nonprofit and media leaders to discuss trends, issues, and qualities of leadership in each of these important sectors. Attached to this letter is a brochure and application form. Each local high school (public and private) is invited to submit ONE nominee from their school who will be invited to participate in the program. In addition, local businesses can also submit ONE nominee. We will select up to 5 business nominees to participate in the Academy. Nominations are due by February 12, 2010. This is an exciting opportunity for local youth to meet Delaware County leaders and learn what it takes to lead in the 21st century.
