Delco Hi-Q, a valued tradition in Delaware County, is the oldest academic quiz competition in the nation. Each year, approximately 60,000 students, teachers, local government officials and members of the community attend a contest. Twenty-one Delaware County high schools, 210 students, participate annually. These students are the future of Delaware County - our teachers, leaders, workforce and community. Historically, more than half a million people have attended contests in Delaware County.
 
Hi-Q's emphasis is on learning and applying knowledge, not winning or losing. Educational excellence is the goal, while the program encourages learning. For this very reason, The Foundation of the Delaware County Chamber has supported Delco Hi-Q since 1998, when The Foundation was known as the Education Foundation.
