LEADERSHIP DELAWARE COUNTY

VIRTUAL PROGRAM Developing Resilient Leaders
Unprecedented times are bringing us unprecedented stress. Many of us are “hitting the wall” and wondering how to cope with the challenges around us. In this 6-week session, we’ll explore how our bodies and minds respond to stress and how this impacts our behaviors and emotions. We’ll identify our own personal challenges and then practice with multiple techniques to address our stressors. We’ll also explore how we can use these same techniques in the workplace. This will be a hands-on program with the opportunity to make a real difference in our lives as we practice with various strategies, working in “real-time” to deal more effectively with our stress. We will go beyond “self-care,” and look more deeply at ongoing practices we can incorporate to move out of our “stressed selves” and into our “best selves,” even when times are challenging.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS & TAKEAWAYS

For employers:
  • Retain highly valued employees
  • Make new connections that can benefit your organization
For employees:
  • Experience a unique opportunity that focuses on expanding upon your leadership skills
  • Identify the difference between “stressed selves” and “best selves” by participating in an in-depth self-assessment, reflective exercises, and group discussion focusing on ways we cope vs. how are we when we are well-resourced and in situations where we are feeling like we can handle our stress.
  • Discuss and apply a variety of frameworks that specifically target supporting executive function in times of stress while building your network and increasing your exposure to organizations and their leadership teams across the Delaware Valley.
  • Receive professional training and guidance from a leadership development professional who will assist you in identifying these issues within your team and how to work effectively with your colleagues to increase their psychological resilience.
