The advocacy mission of the Delaware County Chamber is to promote the growth and development of the regional business community through: the advocacy of positive and permanent business friendly government laws and regulations; effective communication with our elected officials; and, development of strategic partnerships to accomplish these objectives. Meetings for this committee occur the first Friday of every month.
On the state level, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce is monitoring proposals on the state and national levels to aid our members impacted by COVID crisis. Namely, the Pennsylvania Legislature is working on legislation to help workers by broadening Unemployment Compensation guidelines and businesses with an economic injury relief package that will expand and streamline state loan programs for businesses who are experiencing revenue loss because of the Coronavirus.
Federally, the Chamber is urging the US Congress to quickly passLegislation to help workers and businesses Impacted by the Coronavirus.
Please join us in contacting both federal and state elected officials in urging enactment of policies that will aid the economy and workers. As the primary business advocate in the County, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce is very interested in any policies in response to the Coronavirus that will affect our members and local economy.
