The Senate returned to legislative Session on August 3rd to “sign” the General Fund bill (HB611), with Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward previously stating, “I understand the importance of getting the General Appropriations Budget to the governor before the school year begins, as well as the funding to organizations. Pennsylvanians are counting on us to finish this process and we will by calling the Senate back before the end of August to sign HB 611. It will be sent to the Governor allowing Treasurer Stacy Garrity to disperse the monies where it is needed in a timely manner.”

About Me: I am a 20-year-old from Chester, PA. I grew up in a household with a single mother and my 5 other siblings. I am the middle child! I am a student athlete of 9+ years, I run track. I like to design and create things; I have a very creative mind. I hope to become an interior designer/graphic designer/photographer one day (it’s hard to choose one so I want to do all!). Why did I choose my major: My college did not have interior design as a major so the closest I would get is visual arts and plus I wanted to tap deeper
