Being a 9-5er and entrepreneur on top of being a mother can be a lot, overwhelming at times. However, this journey has been a rewarding one. My daughter is seeing all the things that are possible with a little faith and work ethic. Both my business and I have been awarded multiple times (This Missing Plug "Entrepreneur of the Year" 2021 and 2023, The Missing Plug "Best New Business of the Year" 2022, Buy from a Black Woman "Home Goods Business of the Year" 2020, and Hustle Hard Recognition Award Honors 2020)

Briefly describe your journey, noting both personal milestones and obstacles you may have faced along the way. My journey has been unique. I found my way into hospitality all because I had someone take a chance on me. My career in this industry began in 2014. It was a slow start with no experience in the industry but, I made sure to take the initiative, ask the right questions, and focus on my future path.  I knew I enjoyed sales and enjoyed talking with people. This allowed me to begin forging my own path and making those connections. A personal milestone for me was a mentor, who believed in me and gave me multiple opportunities for growth. It allowed me to understand where I wanted to end up and gave me the confidence I needed to strive for excellence.
