PRESS RELEASE: AACCGP Creates “Asian Eats” Campaign to Help Support Asian-owned Restaurants and Grocery Stores

Philadelphia, PA – The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia is proud to announce the launch of Asian Eats initiative to help support Asian and Pacific Islander owned restaurants and grocery stores in the Greater Philadelphia area impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the campaign, AACCGP will help promote and market these businesses through the end of May in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month on all its social media and external communication platforms.

AACCGP recognizes that Asian restaurants and businesses have been also affected by the rise of racism and xenophobia related to COVID-19 fears. In addition to promoting businesses, AACCGP is also offering free One-Year Membership to all Asian Eats participating restaurants and grocery stores, which allows access to a wide range of services and opportunities to grow their business, including networking and connecting with other Asian-owned small businesses.  
 
“This campaign is to encourage Asian businesses to continue their services through social media, not only for the current situation, but to continue providing such services during the recovery period. Keeping these jobs is crucial to the community as well as the health of our economy,” says Narasimha Shenoy, President & CEO of AACCGP.

AACCGP will send out weekly press releases to promote Asian Eats with a regularly updated participant list.
